Weird World

Today I am completely disgusted by the hate in the world. For the first trivial thing, my favorite costume jewelry ring is turning my finger green. Just a perfect add on for a heinous Monday.

Last night during the World Cup final –taking a break to say “YAY Spain” even though it is not who I wanted to win, but out of the Netherlands and Spain, I chose Spain along with Paul. There were 3 suicide bombings in Uganda. While people were trying to enjoy themselves watching the Cup, Somali terrorist group, Al-Shabaab, decided to they did not think Uganda should have fun with the World because they have aided the Somali government. I am tired of these iniquitious acts of hatred. The ironic thing is that one of the futbol teams in Saudi Arabia is called All-Shabab, weird. The Al-Shabab leader, said that whatever made Uganda cry was a victory for them. It is altogether disgusting to me. I know they are Muslim but I do not like to tie them to Islam. Even though there are 164 verses in the Quran on Jihad, I think that it is just hatred looking for an excuse out. Normal people do not desire to be fundamentalist. Am I being open minded? I was talking to a Ugandan friend, and what we look at as a terrorist they look at as a freedom fighter. The Ugandan Muslims are saying that they are not doing this in the name of Allah but of hate. Uganda was trying to help the failed state of Somalia and they have been plotted against. I cannot understand that. I can understand fighting for something that you feel is completely wrong. Like Somalia fighting against anything that represents the West because of the past. I cannot understand a fellow African movement though. It is something that has to be instilled. Generations of hurt and hate have created this situation. The official death count in Kampala was 74 but friends there said that it was over 100. The last two nights have been Hell for me because I am hurting for the families of the deceased and injured in Uganda. There was an American who died, Nate Henn. I worked for Invisible Children for awhile and knew the groups and saw Nate around. I was never close to him but his life still made me cry. He gave up everything to take a non-paying volunteer position in Invisible Children, first as a roadie traveling over the states and then in Uganda. http://www.natehenn.com/ It is a horrible when innocent civilians are targeted in the cowardly acts like suicide bombings, but even worst when people who were not even supposed to be there die. Nate was doing something he did not have to be doing. He saved his money and went without pay to help child soldiers. These terrorist are targeting western aid groups.. Really?! How could a person be so deranged to think that it is ok to look for people who are helping your flesh and blood brothers in your country to kill. Al-shabab has killed over 42 aid workers that were giving their fellow Somali’s food and clean water. Over 3.6 million rely on international NGOs for survival in Somalia, and Al-shabab has targeted them. No matter what you read is your religious book, words cannot drive you to be that full of hate. Words can become Spirit but I do not really think that ties into this situation.

I am sick of hate. I live a peaceful life.. Why cant we all?

Rest in Peace all were killed in the terrorist attacks in Kampala. May your memory last forever and shape the history of the next generations.

Its so heartening to see that innocent people were killed in the attacks by the so called Jihadi fundamentalist suicide bombers. We know that Islam is a peace loving religion but because of the hatred and jealousy of the people through terrorism the devil is making much noise around the world. We have seen it during the world trade centre, even in India there were many terrorist attacks on the civilians. India has tied close relationship with Israel in tackling the problem of growing global terrorism. It’s so heartening that even dedicated Christian NGO volunteers & missionaries like Natehenn and other people were dead due to the brunt of the attack. Much personal care should be taken while visiting the public places where the Islamic terrorist influence is under work. The Americans should be on alert especially while they visit the Islamic influenced countries. They treat that Christians and Jewish people are the main enemies of the Allah and of Islam. So they are targeting the innocent people through suicide bombers. However terrorism cannot be entertained anywhere on the planet earth. The Bush administration was very much particular about this issue and did much better to fight against the growing global terrorism trends.

May overwhelming God’s peace console all the bereaving family members of the demised by the terrorist attacks!
